Animation professionals – Youth: aid of 200 euros to complete the BAFA

A help from €200 is planned for the year 2022 for young people who have started their training in animation professionals, to encourage them to enroll in the third stage (deepening or qualification) of the certificate of aptitude for the functions of animator (BAFA). Some 20,000 young people could benefit from it, without resource conditions. The aim is to remedy the lack of manpower in the sector.

Who is worried?

Any young person training for the Certificate of Aptitude for Facilitator Functions (BAFA) who registers for an in-depth or qualification course taking place between 1 January and 31 December 2022. This certificate is essential to work at a recreation center or summer camp.

What is BAFA?

The certificate of aptitude for the functions of animator (BAFA) is a diploma that allows you to supervise in a non-professional way, on an occasional basis, children and adolescents in collective care for minors. To obtain the BAFA, it is necessary to follow a training course, consisting of a general session followed by a practical internship and completed by an in-depth or qualification session. You must be at least 17 years old to register.

Enrollment conditions

To register at the BAFA, you must be over 17 years old on the first day of the first training session (general training), but the administrative registration on the BAFA/BAFD website.

How will this aid be paid?

This exceptional assistance from €200 is awarded without resource conditions, to finance the deepening or qualification sessions at the BAFA carried out between January 1 and December 31, 2022. It is deducted from its cost by the training organization: the advance of this part of the rate is therefore not. necessary

The general training session for new apprentices starting their BAFA in 2022 is not eligible for this exceptional aid. The aid is granted only for the deepening or qualification session carried out before the end of 2022.

What is the cost of training?

The cost of training varies between €800 and €900.
