The Court of Auditors launches a reporting platform

After the launch last March of a major consultation of citizens aimed at collecting proposals on audit issues or evaluation of public policies, the Court of Auditors continues its approach of opening up to citizens by putting in place a report Established in the strategic project to modernize the financial courts “JF 2025”, an online procedure now allows any citizen to report to the Court the irregularities or malfunctions observed in public management. Operational from today, this tool allows you to remain anonymous for protection.

On June 20, the 2022 campaign of the citizens’ platform was successfully completed – giving rise to the publication of 6 checks of the citizens’ initiative planned for 2023. Today, the Court of Auditors presents a new tool intended to respond to a distinct purpose: to report any significant dysfunction in a public entity or in an organization liable to be controlled by the Court or by the chambers of regional and territorial accounts.

From now on, users of public services, public officials and civic associations faced with a potential financial irregularity have the possibility to report in a simple and safe way, going to the Court of Auditors website, through the “reporting platform” tab.

Whether it is the management of public contracts, unjustified remuneration or subsidies, conflicts of interest or serious mismanagement, any fact reported as irregular can be subject to scrutiny after investigation, if the financial courts decide as well as independently and confidentially.

This reporting platform will be managed by the General Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Accounts, so that the reports can feed both the programming of the controls and the litigation chamber (7).e bedroom).

“In a spirit of fidelity to our mission, defined by article 15 of the Declaration of the rights of man and citizen, the objective of this approach is clear, underlines the first president of the Court of Accounts, Pierre Moscovici. . In conjunction with the General Prosecutor of the Court of Accounts, aims to identify areas of risk to strengthen our response to the expectations of citizens. 2022 marked an opening of the citizen without precedent of the Court. It is important for me to pursue it, making our institution a house of citizens who are more and more attentive to the transparency, regularity and probity of public management”.
